Sen. Romaine Quinn, R-Birchwood, faces a challenge from Democrat Jeff Foster, of Grant Township, in the general election. Quinn was elected to the 25th Senate District in 2022 but now runs in the 23rd after new legislative maps were signed into law in 2024. The seat is currently held by Republican state Sen. Jesse James, who did not seek reelection.
