Republican U.S. Rep. Derrick Van Orden faces a rematch from his 2024 Democratic opponent Rebecca Cooke. The outcome could influence control of the U.S. House of Representatives. Alexander Kent, of La Crosse, and Pepin CNA Rustin Provance are also running in the general election as independent candidates. Van Orden was first elected to the seat in 2022 and defeated Cooke in 2024 by 3 percentage points.
