Q&A with the Candidate

Why should voters elect you?

Since the age of 26 when I was first elected to county board, serving the people is an honor as well as a responsibility not to be taken lightly. It means listening to the people you represent, never taking any one's opinion lightly but weighing everyone's input. Serving western Wisconsin would be a great honor — putting people first, looking for solutions that empower hardworking families and residents that call western Wisconsin home.

What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?

Unfunded mandates on county government, public schools and all forms of local government, result in uncontrolled property tax increases, if Madison is going to pass mandated services it needs to fund it this would result in local levy relief for county and schools, and local units of government. In short, it would be real property tax relief, for seniors, working class, and new homeowners.

How should Wisconsin government operate differently than in the past?

Start working for the people, not the next election cycle. When they start on bills ask the question: how's this going to affect the working people — the retirees in Wisconsin, not just for today but long-term.

What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?

Wisconsin had the first rails to trails or bike trails are awesome. I remember walking the tunnels of the Sparta Elroy bike trail as a kid before it was a bike trail. Great memories.
