Q&A with the Candidate

Why should voters elect you?

Over my time in public office, I have proven that I can listen to varying perspectives, work hard and get the job done. This past legislative session I introduced 26 pieces of legislation and had 16 bills passed, 13 of which were passed with bipartisan support and over half of them were signed into law by our governor. I was proud to introduce legislation that will lower the cost of healthcare, improve access to healthcare, clean-up our environment and lower the tax burden to Wisconsinites to name a few of the vary diverse topics that I worked on.

What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?

Affordability! From going to the doctor, putting groceries on the table, filling up the car with gas or buying a home we all know that it's gotten more expensive to live. I know because I see it every day in my business and household. Raising four daughters isn't cheap!

How should Wisconsin government operate differently than in the past?

At the state level we need to rebalance the powers of the three branches of government by restoring the legislative oversight powers to the state legislature. We also need to restore local control to provide local municipalities with flexibility to handle local issues specific to them. I also think that it would help to decentralize our state agencies and modernize our services into a single digital platform instead of the current system where users have to try and navigate between all the different agency websites.

What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?

All four of the Green Bay Packers Super Bowl victories have been when our state had a Republican governor.
