Why should voters elect you?
I’m running because Wisconsin deserves a leader who shows up with steadiness, clarity, and lived experience. As a teacher, father, and alderman, I’ve spent my life protecting families, guiding young people, and helping our community stay grounded through difficult moments. My leadership arc has always been about service. Creating safety, stability, and opportunity for the people around me. In the state Assembly, I’ll fight for strong public schools, mental‑health support, public safety partnerships, and a workforce pipeline that prepares our kids for real careers. My commitment is simple: to listen, to lead with integrity, and to make decisions rooted in the everyday realities of Wisconsin families.
What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?
The top issue for the 82nd district can be seen all over the country. We are facing an affordability crisis. I plan to go to Madison to help create new economic formulas to ensure that, through ACT 10 and ACT 12, we can lower property taxes and still ensure city services are being met. I plan to suspend the gas tax until we can move forward with lower property taxes, and most importantly, I will look to cut taxes for the middle class and ensure families are able to live in a way that follows the patriotic belief system of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
How should Wisconsin government operate differently than in the past?
The Wisconsin government needs to come together and begin actually functioning as a coherent entity that focuses on the people of Wisconsin and not the politics that are played. There have been budget proposals to increase special education spending that have failed. There has been proposed legislation for farmers, working-class families, and seniors that has not been fully adopted. We need to put people first and truly look at what is in the best interest of all Wisconsinites.
What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?
The Springs in Waukesha were believed to have healing powers and therapeutic properties that people would travel from all over the world to be healed. That is why it has the nickname Spring City, which — on a personal note — my first soccer club was called Spring City Soccer.
