Why should voters elect you?
I would like to see accountability on how we are spending our tax dollars. The literacy rate in our schools is not acceptable. We as taxpayers pay more per student than all but one country in the world, yet our literacy rate is far below other countries that pay thousands less per student than us. Property taxes continue to rise to pay for our schools but we are not seeing the results of the spending. The rising property taxes are making home ownership unaffordable for many people. Funding our schools is important, but we cannot spend our way to better test scores. I would like to work at changing how we fund our schools so that our children have the education they need.
What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?
Rising property taxes is the number one complaint that I hear from property owners.
How should Wisconsin government operate differently than in the past?
Less new programs. Our government should work on making the existing programs affordable and workable.
What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?
The Green Bay Packers are the only franchise that is publicly owned and the third oldest franchise in the NFL.
