Why should voters elect you?
I’m running for state Assembly because Milwaukee’s southwest suburbs deserve a representative who will fight for them. Growing up, I helped care for family members and worked as a CNA while putting myself through college. Those experiences shaped my commitment to serving others. I later founded LIFE Wellness & Counseling Services to expand access to mental healthcare and support families in need. As a small business owner, I understand the challenges of creating jobs, meeting payroll, and managing rising costs. Families across our community deserve a leader focused on solutions, not political drama. I’m running to bring real world experience to Madison and fight for affordable healthcare, strong public schools, safer neighborhoods, and an economy that gives everyone a fair opportunity to succeed.
What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?
The top issue facing our district is affordability. Too many families are struggling with rising housing costs, healthcare expenses, childcare bills, and property taxes while wages have failed to keep pace. Seniors worry about being priced out of the communities they helped build, and young families are finding it harder to buy a home and raise children. I will focus on practical solutions that lower costs for working families by expanding affordable housing, increasing access to quality childcare, protecting and improving access to healthcare and mental health services, and fully funding public education to reduce the burden on local property taxpayers. Wisconsin families deserve policies that make it easier to build financial stability, achieve homeownership, and remain in the communities they proudly call home.
How should Wisconsin government operate differently than in the past?
For the past 20 years Wisconsin government has been run from the top down, with decisions being made behind closed doors by a small group of political insiders. Under Robin Vos and the current legislative leadership, we’ve seen political power take priority over solving real problems working families are facing. It’s time for a government that is more transparent, accountable, and focused on results. That means bringing more voices to the table, not just lobbyists, and political insiders, but working families, small business owners, educators, and community leaders. Everyone deserves a seat at the table and a voice in decisions that affect their lives. Wisconsin works best when we focus on common-sence solutions, respect different perspectives, and put people ahead of politics.
What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?
One of my favorite Wisconsin fun facts is that Earth Day was founded here by Sen. Gaylord Nelson. He recognized that protecting our environment is about more than preserving natural beauty. It is about protecting our health, economy, and future generations. That lesson remains just as important today. Wisconsin's lakes, rivers, parks, and outdoor spaces are among our greatest treasures, but they face challenges from pollution and climate change. We have a responsibility to protect these resources and leave them better than we found them. Earth Day reminds us that Wisconsin has a proud conservation legacy. We should continue that tradition by investing in clean water, protecting our natural resources, and advancing practical environmental solutions so future generations can enjoy the Wisconsin we love.
