Q&A with the Candidate
Why should voters elect you?
I'm old enough to remember quality representation from past elected officials like Proxmire, Nelson, Feingold and Obey who worked with both sides to find common sense solutions for all of their constituents. I feel that my experience to find solutions and cooperation is essential for the state of Wisconsin.
What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?
Affordability! Too many citizens are trapped by unfair access to justice and opportunities. In this state, "Act 10" has created restraints for economic growth for valuable employees like government workers, teachers and union workers. This is causing a "brain drain" of talented individuals choosing to go elsewhere in search of a better opportunity.
How should Wisconsin government operate differently than in the past?
It's looking to the past to remind us how Wisconsin was considered a progressive state. Strong unions representing the working class for fair wages and benefits. Support for public schools and not a handout for private schools. For providing quality and affordable medical care throughout the state. Plus, the wealthy paying their fair share for the overall betterment of this state.
What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?
The Wisconsin Badgers football playing and winning the Rose Bowl in 1994 after a long absence.
