Why should voters elect you?
I bring a background in small business and higher education to the state Legislature that gives me a unique perspective on the financial challenges that face Wisconsinites today. The Universities of Wisconsin and our technical colleges are some of the most powerful financial engines in our State, and I understand how those systems work from the inside as a former college-level faculty member and trustee.
What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?
Currently the top issue is data center regulation. We need to insure that no financial and environmental costs associated with those technologies are passed on to consumers.
How should Wisconsin government operate differently than in the past?
There needs to be much more open debate within the legislature, particularly within the committees which determine what legislation is ultimately brought forward to become law. Free-flowing and open debate has been almost completely choked off by the current majority power over the last decade and a half.
What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?
It's not just about cheese! Wisconsin ranks #1 in cranberry production.
