Why should voters elect you?
Because I live here. I shop here. I worship here. I raised my family here. I am not passing through state Senate District 7 on my way to something bigger this community is my something bigger. For years, our district has had passionate representation. But passion without results leaves families with higher tax bills, struggling schools, and neighborhoods still waiting. I am a small business owner who understands budgets, a neighbor who understands people, and a conservative who believes government should work for you, not around you. I will be fair in every decision, kind in every interaction, just in every vote, and always empathetic to the real lives behind every policy. That is my promise. Not a slogan.
What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?
Property taxes. Full stop. Families across Oak Creek, South Milwaukee, Cudahy, St. Francis and Milwaukee have watched their bills spike 20% or more in a single year. Seniors on fixed incomes are being priced out of homes they spent decades building. Working parents are choosing between staying in their neighborhood and staying afloat. I will fight to reform the 400-year veto that locked in perpetual property tax increases, oppose unfunded state mandates that shift the burden onto local homeowners, and introduce a property tax freeze for seniors on fixed incomes. Good schools and safe neighborhoods matter deeply to me. But we should fund them through smarter state solutions, not by making it impossible for working families to keep their homes.
How should Wisconsin government operate differently than in the past?
It should start by listening before legislating. For too long, Wisconsin government has operated as two teams competing for wins rather than neighbors solving shared problems. That produces gridlock, frustrated communities, and families who stop believing government is capable of helping them at all. I believe in bipartisan deal-making, not because I lack convictions, but because I have enough respect for my neighbors across the aisle to find common ground wherever it exists. Property tax relief, workforce-ready education, and community safety are not Republican issues or Democratic issues. They are Wisconsin issues. Government should be transparent, accessible, and ruthlessly focused on results. Every dollar spent, every vote cast, every bill introduced should answer one question: does this make District 7 families' lives better?
What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?
Although frozen custard was invented in Coney Island, New York, Milwaukee, Wisconsin is universally recognized as the "Frozen Custard Capital of the World." The city boasts the highest concentration of frozen custard shops per capita globally, heavily supported by the State's rich dairy tradition. I love this because it reflects the Wisconsin spirit: practical, creative, community-centered, and deeply good-natured. We work with what we have, we serve our neighbors well, and somehow, we end up making something wonderful. That is the spirit I will bring to Madison — practical, neighborly, and always a little sweet.
