Why should voters send you to congress?
I'm not part of the establishment or a coward. I don't care about money, title, or credit. I can't stand by and do nothing while this country continues to be destroyed, citizens disregarded, and our Constitution burns. I believe in America and will fight for all of us with my life, because tyrannical authoritarianism has come to destroy us. None of my opponents are going to bring this level of ferociousness to this moment; a ferocity which is desperately needed. I fight for America, her citizens, and our Constitution; so we may all have happier, healthier lives, and live free of tyranny and oppression. So help me God.
What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?
I'd say the top issue is affordability, but healthcare is most likely a tie. Healthcare is definitely part of why people are genuinely struggling with affordability, so addressing that concern specifically will help fix some of the affordability crisis. I would address healthcare by working to finally get Americans Medicare for all. I'd also be pushing for $22 minimum wage, universal childcare, ending this illegal war with Israel and Iran, tossing out the One Big Beautiful Bill and rewriting the tax structure to tax the rich and give tax breaks to middle class Americans.
What expertise would you bring into congress? How would it help your district?
Conventionally, I'm a small business owner and musician; both of these endeavors have granted me invaluable skills very relevant to the office I seek. I'm accustomed to balancing budgets, project management, task delegation, marketing, scheduling, planning and project creation from being a business owner. As a musician, I've learned to think outside the box, improvise, marketing, and how to genuinely connect with people and keep them engaged. Unconventionally, I'm a transgender woman in a time of widespread discrimination against us, so I understand what oppression feels like, while also being able to see things from both male and female perspectives. I'm also a first time politician, so I'm not committed to the establishment and party protocols, but solely for the people, by the people.
Should Congress exert more oversight over the president? Why or why not?
Yes, absolutely. They've been abandoning the Constitution, failing to do their job of keeping the president in check. Congress has made themselves virtually irrelevant, capitulating their powers to Trump and it has served to weaponize law against Americans, enable the hateful brown shirt tactics of the ICE Gestapo, allow for rampant out in the open government corruption, and the starting of unconstitutional wars. Every sitting member of Congress which has allowed this to continue needs to be voted out and removed from government.
What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?
Wisconsin was the first state to ratify the 19th Amendment, which when ratified gave women the right to vote.
