Why should voters send you to congress?
In February 2025, amidst the flurry of illegal and unconstitutional actions of the Trump administration, I went down the busiest intersection in New Richmond and started protesting by myself. After years of putting up lawn signs and voting, I decided I needed to do more. In March 2025, I got involved with the Democratic Party to get out the vote for the spring election. Then I decided to host a “Hands Off!” protest in New Richmond and over 250 people attended! And after that founded New Richmond Indivisible with other local organizers. In April 2025, I started my campaign to take that fight to Congress. There is nothing we can’t do when we work together to demand change. 2026 is the year of the people!
What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?
Congress must stop the lawlessness and corruption of the Trump administration. Whether it’s the illegal war in Iran, tearing down the East Wing of the White House, building the nonsensical ballroom, the insane tariffs, the assault on science, our environment and National Parks, the Epstein coverup, this government is doing everything it can to make life worse for everyone except the ultra-rich and well-connected. We need to tax the ultra-wealthy, implement Medicare for All, provide family leave and childcare, protect our environment, invest in our children’s education, abolish ICE, help our veterans, house the homeless, feed the hungry, invest in renewable energy, and adopt sensible international trade and ag policies.
What expertise would you bring into congress? How would it help your district?
I’m just a normal guy who grew up here, raised my family, and started my own IT business. I’m running for Congress because as my grandson gets older, I want to be able to look him in the eye and tell him I did everything in my power to make this a better place for him, so he can find a good job, find a place to live, and raise his family here. My job as an Enterprise Architect is to bring together disparate groups of stakeholders, work to a common understanding of the problem, and then collaborate to come up with the optimal solution that best meets the needs of everyone, in the face of overwhelming complexity and a continually changing landscape.
Should Congress exert more oversight over the president? Why or why not?
The first thing I’m going to do when I’m seated in the House of Representatives in 2027 is work with my fellow members and introduce Articles of Impeachment against Donald Trump and his cabinet. I’m not doing this because I don’t like Trump (which I don’t) and I’m not doing this because I don’t agree with the administration’s policies (which I don’t); I’m doing this because this administration breaks the law every single day and nobody is doing anything about it. What’s the point of passing any new legislation when this administration breaks the law, flouts the Constitution, and ignores the will of the people every single day? We are a nation of laws, not men.
What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?
Oh my, there are so many to choose from! Perhaps that Wisconsin started the first kindergarten in the U.S. Or the first state to implement an unemployment compensation program. Or that we’re the Badger State not because of the animal, but because of the miners that dug holes in the ground in the early history of our state. Or that Wisconsin had the largest concentration of effigy mounds of any place in the world. When I work with people across the world, I can’t help but share the storied history of the world’s best football team — the Green Bay Packers! The only community-owned professional sports team in the U.S. and the only NFL team to win three championships back-to-back twice! Go Pack Go!
