Q&A with the Candidate
Why should voters elect you?
I am 51 years old, life hasn't been easy, l have experienced divorce, single mother, child with cancer, loss of jobs (plant closure) had to rely on badger care for a bit ,all these things have made me the woman qualified to do this job, l know struggle and what it's like to be one of the many working poor.
What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?
Taxes. l feel that we are over taxed, and now we have to pay for our water pipes to be replaced $4,000 even if it's spread out over four years is still a lot of money to a lot of people and especially after a flood and the damage that has caused. People simply are struggling to make ends meet.
How should Wisconsin government operate differently than in the past?
We need to start taxing the wealthy and corporations, and fine anyone that has a negative effect on our natural resources, we also need to focus on better schools and healthy lunch programs. l'm hoping our farmers can help us with that.
What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?
I was told from one of the tour guide, that the woman on top of the Wisconsin state capital building was designed by the man that also designed the Lincoln memorial in Washington , l thought that was pretty cool.
