Q&A with the Candidate

Why should voters elect you?

I'm running for the Wisconsin State Assembly because I believe our community deserves leadership that is present, accountable and focused on the people. I'm running to fight for stronger communities, quality education, affordable housing, economic opportunity, and greater access to resources for our seniors and families. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, not just get by.

What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?

Economic opportunity — I believe everyone who works hard should have a fair opportunity to build a stable and prosperous life. While our economy has created wealth for some, too many working families continue to struggle with rising costs for housing, childcare, healthcare, and everyday necessities. I support policies that expand economic opportunities, strengthen workforce development, support unions and apprenticeship programs, promote small business growth, increase affordable housing, and help close longstanding racial and economic wealth gaps. My focus is not simply on reducing poverty, but on creating pathways to ownership economies, wealth-building, and long-term economic security so that prosperity is shared more broadly across our communities.

How should Wisconsin government operate differently than in the past?

Wisconsin government should stop operating from fear, division, and political convenience, and start operating with courage, collaboration, transparency, and a deep commitment to the people most impacted by its decisions. I will govern with bold, courageous, people-centered leadership that challenges the status quo on both sides.

What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?

Milwaukee is home to America's Black Holocaust Museum, founded by civil rights pioneer James Cameron. His belief that education, economic empowerment, and civic engagement are keys to freedom continues to inspire leaders across Wisconsin today.
