Rep. Steve Doyle, D-Onalaska, faces Republican Army veteran Keith Purnell in the general election. Doyle narrowly won reelection in 2024 by less than 250 votes at the same time President Donald Trump won in the district. Doyle was first elected to the Assembly in 2011. Republicans are looking to flip the seat to retain control of the Assembly. Neither Doyle nor Purnell faced a primary opponent.
