Case manager Ismael Luna, who won the Democratic primary, faces Republican Angel Sanchez in the general election. The district favors Democrats. Incumbent Rep. Sylvia Ortiz-Velez lost the primary election in August following charges of disorderly conduct in February regarding a 2025 legislative feud stemming from her alleged exclusion in the drafting of resolutions honoring Hispanics. Wisconsin Democrats said Ortiz-Velez threatened to shoot three Democratic caucus members over disagreements, and she announced her departure from the caucus shortly after. She pleaded no contest in March.
