Why should voters elect you?
People want elected officials who have their backs and government to make their lives better, not harder. I love rural Wisconsin and care about the people in my district. Wisconsinites deserve a representative who shows up and fights for working and middle-class Wisconsinites instead of bowing down to special interests, millionaires, and big corporations. Small business owners, farmers, and families struggle to make ends meet. These people are the foundation of our rural economy. People can’t afford a place to live and the American dream of owning a home is quickly disappearing. I think we can all agree in the wealthiest nation in the world, someone working full-time should afford a roof over their head, food on the table, and medical care.
What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?
Schools and taxes. We need to restructure the way we fund our public schools so we can have great schools that give our kids the education they deserve and lower property taxes. Public schools are an integral part of our communities and our rural culture. Rural schools are important to kids, families, local businesses, school employees, and local homeowners. There were seven public school referendums in the 13th district and we have schools closing due to the failures of the school funding policies of the current legislature. We should stop using taxpayer money to fund private schools and focus on making our public schools better.
How should Wisconsin government operate differently than in the past?
Wisconsin government needs to be more efficient, more frugal, and more focused on the working and middle-class families of Wisconsin. The purpose of government is to make the lives of the voters better, not make the rich richer, the politicians more powerful, or the biggest corporations more wealthy. Government representatives need to start working for the people. To combat the high prices and rigged system we currently find ourselves in, we need to have representatives with bold ideas and big goals. We don't need more of the same old status quo, small ideas, and tired policies of the past. We need new people with new ideas.
What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?
I have loved fishing all of my life. I love being outdoors and enjoying the beautiful natural resources we enjoy in Wisconsin. The Wisconsin muskie record was broken three times in 2025. I have never caught a muskie myself, but I hope to do so someday. My largest catch is a northern pike, just under 38 inches.
