Why should voters elect you?
It’s time for a change in the 36th District. Our communities face real challenges. PFAS contamination impacts families, and schools struggle with funding. These issues cannot be ignored, and I’m ready to fight for the solutions our district deserves. I’m running for Assembly as an independent because I believe people should come before politics. Party agendas aren't my priority — our community is. My focus will always be on what is best for the people of the 36th District. I’ll listen to the voices of our residents, work across political lines, and fight for practical solutions that strengthen our communities, support our schools, and protect our future. If you are ready for a representative who puts our community first, I would be honored to earn your vote.
What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?
The top issue facing our district is PFAS contamination. Clean, safe water is essential, and many families in our communities are concerned about the long-term impact PFAS may have on their health and quality of life. I will address this issue by working closely with residents, scientists, environmental experts, local leaders, and state agencies to fully understand the challenges we face and identify the most effective solutions. I will advocate for available funding to be used efficiently and fight for additional resources to support cleanup efforts and protect our communities. Just as importantly, I will ensure transparency throughout the process so residents have access to accurate information and understand the progress being made.
How should Wisconsin government operate differently than in the past?
Wisconsin government should operate differently by putting people before politics. Too often, partisan divisions prevent progress on the issues that matter most to our communities. I believe elected officials should spend more time listening to the people they represent and less time focusing on political agendas. Government should be transparent, accountable, and focused on solving real problems. As an Independent candidate, my priority is not a political party — it is the people of the 36th District. When we focus on what is best for our communities and work together toward common goals, Wisconsin will be stronger for everyone.
What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?
One of my favorite Wisconsin history facts is that after the devastating Peshtigo Fire of 1871 — the deadliest wildfire in U.S. history — the people of the area rebuilt their communities despite unimaginable loss and hardship. What I appreciate most about this story is the resilience it represents. Wisconsin’s history is filled with people who faced challenges head-on, worked together, and refused to give up. That same spirit still exists in our communities today. The story of Peshtigo reminds us that even in difficult times, strong communities can recover, rebuild, and emerge stronger when people support one another and work toward a common goal.
