Q&A with the Candidate
Why should voters elect you?
I work hard for the 80th District. I'm a member of Assembly leadership and several committees, and I'm committed to making progress on giving Wisconsinites a raise, fixing our democracy, restoring our rights, and making investments in our schools and communities.
What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?
Affordability is the top issue. We must give Wisconsinites a raise. We could raise the state earned income tax credit, raise the homestead credit, pay for healthy school meals for every student, and relieve the property tax burden that's been created by Republicans defunding our public schools.
How should Wisconsin government operate differently than in the past?
I'm hopeful that Democrats will have the majority in the Legislature. That would allow us, with a Democratic governor, to take on the big money spent on campaigns and lobbying to rig the economy and outcomes against the people. We could make our democracy work for us, not them.
What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?
The Green Bay Packers should be credited with 14 world championships, not 13.
