Why should voters elect you?
I am running for Wisconsin State Assembly because the people of the 57th District deserve a representative who will listen, show up, and fight for their interests. As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Waushara County Board supervisor, working professional, and longtime conservative advocate, I understand the challenges facing working families, small businesses, farmers, and communities throughout the district. I believe in limited government, fiscal responsibility, public safety, election integrity, constitutional carry, strong enforcement of immigration laws, lower taxes, and the protection of constitutional rights. Most importantly, I believe elected office should be earned through hard work and direct engagement with the people — not selected, but earned.
What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?
The number one issue I hear about across the 57th District is the rising cost of living. Families are paying more for groceries, gas, utilities, insurance, healthcare, and just about everything else they need to get by. At the same time, homeowners, farmers, retirees, and small business owners continue to feel the pressure of high property taxes and government spending. In our rural communities, people often have to drive long distances for work, school, appointments, and everyday errands, making higher fuel costs hit even harder. Working families are doing everything right, but many feel like they're falling further behind. That's why affordability, lower taxes, and responsible government spending aren't just political talking points—they're everyday concerns that directly impact the people of the 57th Assembly District.
How should Wisconsin government operate differently than in the past?
I believe Wisconsin government needs to get back to common sense. The people of this state are tired of politicians talking at them instead of listening to them. Government should focus on its core responsibilities, spending taxpayer dollars wisely, protecting constitutional rights, supporting law enforcement, and creating opportunities for families, farmers, workers, and small businesses to succeed. Too often, government creates more bureaucracy and obstacles for the very people who are working hard to get ahead. I don't believe elected office should be about building a political career. It should be about showing up, listening, solving problems, and being accountable to the people who sent you there. Wisconsin deserves a government that works for the people.
What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?
Most people know Wisconsin as the Badger State, but did you know we're also the birthplace of one of the biggest internet horror phenomena in the world? Wisconsin earned its nickname in the 1820s and 1830s when lead miners dug shelters into hillsides and lived much like badgers. More recently, the famous image that inspired The Backrooms was traced to a building in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where a photo taken during renovations in 2002 eventually became the foundation for a worldwide internet sensation. From hardworking miners living underground to the internet's most famous endless maze, Wisconsin has a history that's a little more interesting than most people realize.
