Q&A with the Candidate
Why should voters elect you?
Inequality is growing, public education has been defunded, the planet is warming, and too many of my neighbors feel like the social contract doesn't apply to them. I have worked to ensure their voices are heard these past 15 years by fighting back against wealthy interests, WeEnergies, and short-term thinking. With a forthcoming majority, we can finally enact forward-thinking, long-term solutions that unrig the system.
What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?
People really don't want to see data centers expand in Wisconsin. They don't like the wasted water, continues heating, the increased energy costs, the reliance on fossil fuel infrastructure, the tax breaks for big tech, or the use of AI for mass surveillance, reduction in jobs, and a lack of a safety net for when they are phased out.
How should Wisconsin government operate differently than in the past?
Wisconsin should be responsive to the people, not to the special interests that have a profit motive to get their bills passed. We should be more transparent and responsive to public needs.
What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?
The first practical typewriter was invented in Wisconsin.
