Why should voters send you to congress?
"One voter, one vote on all issues." This is our voter empowerment promise. We believe we can come together on VoterDirectedNetwork.com and collectively discuss, research, and vote on issues. Online issue voting is possible. It’s a modern, honest, logical and intuitive way to practice democratic republicanism that’s 100% constitutional. We made an anti-corruption promise: No donors, lobbyists, Super PACs, or parties. There will be nothing between voters and their constitutional power to be represented on every issue. The party controlled political system is divide and conquer. It doesn't represent voters, it controls voters. Representing voters has always been easy. Ask all voters on all issues- they’ll tell you what they need and want. Then do it. This is how a democratic republic should function.
What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?
The economy. The authoritarian party controlled political system broke our economy enough that basic necessities- safe shelter, nutritious food, healthcare, energy- are increasingly unaffordable for over half of all voters. It's terrible. It’s caused immense human suffering for decades. Votes don't want to live like this. Full voter empowerment solves all systemic social, political, and economic issues. Our collective knowledge, wisdom, and expertise on issues is immense. Voters need and should have full control over the federal budget to choose what to fund, subsidize, and privatize. Voters need full control over and to be fully REPresented on every issue- this is what REPublics should do. When our republic actually represents voters on all issues, the vast majority of our issues will disappear within a generation.
What expertise would you bring into congress? How would it help your district?
Systems thinking. This is my greatest strength and passion. We have to improve how SYSTEMS operate in order to improve outcomes for individual voters, children, and families. To improve upon any social, political, or economic issue that causes human suffering we must address the system behind it that has created the suffering. Collectively voters are immensely compassionate and know so much about the human condition. Collectively we know exactly how to build social, political, and economic governing mentalities (government system) that will lead our country to mass peace, prosperity, and thriving. We just need to empower the real Will of the People on all issues. Voters know what they need- they always have. Corrupt and violent political parties have just always gotten in the way.
Should Congress exert more oversight over the president? Why or why not?
We need to follow the U.S. Constitution. The checks and balances and division of power in the U.S. Constitution need to be followed. Political parties are authoritarian structures and are NOT in the U.S. Constitution. Political parties are and have been the biggest corrupt, divisive, and violent authoritarian problem in our republic for a very long time. We were all meant to be equally empowered Independents represented by Independent elected officials at all levels and in all branches of government. The Will of the People should control all branches of government and be represented in all branches of government. This is what a REPublic is- a REPresentative government institution. Our governing mentalities must represent the voters. The ONLY way to represent voters on any issue is to ask all voters. If all three branches are aligned with the real Will of the People then voters will have oversight over all branches of government AND the internal oversight mechanisms in the U.S. Constitution will also work well or not even be needed.
What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?
Wisconsin is truly one of the most beautiful pieces of land in the entire world. Our geography and biodiversity is stunning. The 3rd Congressional District (where I am so fortunate to live) has one of the most breath-taking landscapes. Much of the district is composed of what is known as the Driftless Area. Where does this name come from? It is named for the lack of glacial drift in the area: the silt, gravel, and rock left behind by glaciers that can be found in other parts of Wisconsin. The Driftless Area was never covered by ice during the Last Glacial Period, so the area lacks the characteristic glacial deposits known as drift. Its landscape is characterized by steep hills, forested ridges, deeply carved river valleys, and karst geology with spring-fed waterfalls and cold-water trout streams. It is such a blessing to live in such a beautiful place that is also filled with so many wonderful people and unique rural, urban, and suburban communities.
