Why should voters elect you?
Voters deserve a representative focused on delivering results, not advancing a political career. Coming to America at age nine with few resources, I experienced firsthand the incredible opportunities this country provides. I earned a master's in engineering and a law degree to solve real-world problems. As an engineer, a law school graduate, and someone for whom English was not a first language, I learned how to listen, advocate, and collaborate across diverse backgrounds. I am running simply to give back. I offer you a strong work ethic, practical problem-solving, and a deep appreciation for American values to tirelessly serve everyone in Wisconsin's 11th Senate District.
What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?
The 11th District's top issue is the rising cost of living. I will address this through housing, public education, and property tax relief. First, smart development ensures attainable housing and drives "net new construction," expanding our tax base to fund local services without raising rates. Second, Wisconsin's Constitution mandates schools be "as nearly uniform as practicable." When families must flee their home district to find a "sound basic education" because local schools lack resources, the state is failing its duty. We must increase state funding so municipalities stop relying on endless property tax referendums while Madison sits on a multi-billion-dollar surplus. Finally, keeping property taxes low ensures elderly residents on fixed incomes are never priced out of their homes.
How should Wisconsin government operate differently than in the past?
Wisconsin government needs to get back to common-sense problem-solving. Right now, Madison relies on closed-door deals and leaves a multi-billion-dollar surplus sitting idle while our hometowns struggle. This broken system shortchanges our local communities, forcing schools and towns to pass endless property tax referendums just to fund basic needs. State government should be a partner, not a roadblock. As an engineer and law school graduate, I look for permanent fixes instead of temporary solutions that tend to have severe repercussions. We need a fair way to fund public education and actual support for local leaders. Finally, by treating early education as a true opportunity, we can build a secure economic future for every Wisconsin family.
