Why should voters send you to congress?
Voters should send me to Congress because I will put the people of Wisconsin’s 5th District ahead of party politics, special interests, and wealthy insiders. I’m a healthcare professional, business leader, union family member, and lifelong Wisconsin resident who understands the challenges working families face. I’m running to lower costs, create good-paying jobs, protect Social Security and Medicare, defend personal freedoms, and make healthcare more affordable. Government should work for ordinary people, not just those with money and influence. Scott Fitzgerald has spent years representing the powerful. I’m running to bring practical, common-sense leadership and a fresh voice to Washington. As I like to say, a change will do you good.
What is the top issue in your district? How would you address it?
The top issue I hear across Wisconsin’s 5th District is affordability. Families are paying more for groceries, housing, healthcare, childcare, and utilities while wages struggle to keep up. Too many people are working hard but falling behind. In Congress, I would focus on lowering healthcare costs, protecting Social Security and Medicare, increasing affordable housing, supporting workforce training and apprenticeship programs, and standing up to corporate price gouging that drives up costs for consumers. I also support policies that strengthen American manufacturing and family farms, creating good-paying jobs here in Wisconsin. Working families deserve an economy that works for them — not just for corporations and the wealthy.
What expertise would you bring into congress? How would it help your district?
I would bring real-world experience from healthcare, manufacturing, technology, and small-business leadership. I spent years as an MRI technologist caring for patients, worked for a major Wisconsin healthcare company, and have led sales and business operations serving organizations ranging from local businesses to global manufacturers. That experience gives me a practical understanding of the challenges facing workers, employers, healthcare providers, and families. I know how decisions made in Washington affect jobs, healthcare costs, supply chains, and economic growth here at home. Wisconsin’s 5th District needs a representative who understands how policy impacts people in their daily lives. I will focus on practical solutions that create jobs, strengthen local businesses, lower costs, and improve access to affordable healthcare.
Should Congress exert more oversight over the president? Why or why not?
Yes. Congress has a constitutional responsibility to provide oversight of the executive branch, regardless of which party controls the White House. Effective oversight helps ensure that laws are followed, taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly, and government agencies remain accountable to the public. Checks and balances are one of the foundations of our democracy. When Congress fails to exercise oversight, power becomes too concentrated in one branch of government. Oversight should not be partisan or political theater — it should be focused on transparency, accountability, and protecting the public interest. I believe members of Congress should be willing to ask tough questions, follow the facts, and uphold their constitutional duties no matter who occupies the Oval Office.
What is your favorite fun Wisconsin history fact?
One of my favorite Wisconsin history facts is that much of our state’s landscape was shaped by glaciers during the last Ice Age. As those massive sheets of ice advanced and retreated, they carved out lakes, rolling hills, kettles, moraines, and river valleys that still define Wisconsin today. What makes this especially interesting is that the glaciers largely missed the southwestern part of the state, creating the unique “Driftless Area,” known for its rugged terrain and steep bluffs. Because of this glacial history, Wisconsin has one of the most diverse and beautiful landscapes in the Midwest —from the Kettle Moraine to the Mississippi River Valley. It’s a reminder that Wisconsin’s natural beauty was thousands of years in the making.
